I am just getting into darts, and bought a set of my own. They are nickel silver, 16 Gr barrel, 2 Gr tip weight "extender", metal tips and I think the shaft is nylon. I like the feel (My primary consideration) but have noticed that the whole assembly has some runout or wobble. I haven't yet tried mixing/matching parts to see if it improves but that will likely be my first thing to try.

Failing that, or assuming only some improvement what would be next? I assume the perfect dart would have no runout whatsoever, but am I just being too picky that it's enough to see?

Fine grit sandpaper and try to square up the mating surfaces, or assemble it and try some judicious "bending" and keep checking till they are straight, or just don't be a puss and actually spend more than $35 on a set of darts, LOL?

I guess the upshot is, what methods do others use to fine tune? Just get the best off the shelf stuff, or like most sports are there a bazillion little tips and techniques for perfecting what's out there? (If so... any websites/guides around?
