I've been to a few pubs recently where they have chalk boards up that are just totally ruined as a result of the way they clean them. I don't know if they are using the same soap solution they use to clean their tables with, but whatever they wipe down the chalk boards with, is creating some sort of film over the board that makes writing on it impossible. Is there any way to restore the chalkboard to it's former usability without having to repaint it?
